The Family Center/La Familia is a high-quality, bilingual education center that provides support, education, and information to all families who desire to improve the quality of their lives. TFC seeks to strengthen and stabilize low-income, at-risk families with children under the age of 18 and non-English speaking families through the provision of support services, coordination and collaboration with other service providers, and through the referral process, connect families to basic needs, training, and education.

The Family Center/La Familia, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, emerged from a large coalition of Fort Collins community members called Fort Collins for Families who were concerned about maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for low-income, high-risk families. The Family Center opened its doors in Fort Collins in 1995 as part of the State of Colorado's Family Center Initiative and became a non-profit corporation in September 1996.
